Elected to four year terms.
Limited to two consecutive terms.
Duties include:

• serves as secretary to commissioners & council
• keeps accounts, advertises for bids, etc., authorizes payment of claims
• prepares annual tax duplicate showing value of property and taxes due
• notifies towns and schools of estimate of assessed value and estimate of taxes received
• disburses funds to agencies
• prepares delinquent tax list
• receives filing of mortgage exemptions and homestead exemptions

Salary: $44,742.92 (As Reported by the Auditor for 2003)

SALARY: Ranges from $17,273 to $55,867 annually, depending upon county size (population and assessed valuation)
