We at the Libertarian Party of Hendricks County (LPHC) like to pride ourselves as being very open minded. Our main goal is to get more of the citizens of Hendricks County involved with the local government. For this reason we open the LPHC to anyone who wants to be more involved and offer 3 levels of membership.

LPHC Libertarian Member

If you are a member of the national Libertarian Party and are current on the $25 yearly dues*, you are automatically at this level of membership. You must be at this level to be a voting LPHC board member and to run for any office with the Libertarian Party.

If you are a Libertarian but don't want to pay the dues, you can join via this level just to participate in LPHC activities and help with those running for office.

LPHC Friend

If you are libertarian, independent, unhappy Republican, disappointed Democrat, or just don't know, feel free to join in with us and stay involved with LPHC activities with this membership level.

* Some have said before, 'Why is being a Republican or Democrat free, but it costs $25 to be a member of the Libertarian Party?' Unlike the Republican and Democrat parties, The Libertarian Party will not take the offered tax money for funding and must depend on other sources of money to keep running. The Libertarian Party belives the taxpayers should not be funding elections; it should come from those who support those running for the various offices.
